The Trail & District Public Library is excited to be hosting local writer, speaker, researcher, Eileen Delehanty Pearkes.

She will be presenting "The Many Gifts of the Columbia River" at the new Riverfront Centre located at 1505 Bay Ave in Trail at 2pm on Friday April 27th.

Eileen Delehanty Pearkes presentation in Trail last year was specific to the Columbia River Treaty.  This time she will broaden the lens, to talk about the treaty and the cultural value of the Columbia, in particular the free-running stretch Trail is so lucky to sit beside.  Most people don't know that it represents one of the only free sections on the entire of 2000 km of river from source to sea.
