RCAC Indie Classic Film Series presents Joyeux Noel

The Rossland Council for Arts and Culture (RCAC) is proud to present a screening of “Joyeux Noel” (year). November 11, 2018 marked 100 years since the Armistice was called which formally ending WW1. Join RCAC at the screening of Joyeux Noel to appreciate this event and enjoy a treasured holiday film.

Based on real events, Joyeux Noel is the story of Christmas Eve 1914 where numerous sections of the Western Front called an informal, and unauthorized, truce where the various front-line soldiers of the conflict peacefully met each other in No Man's Land to share a precious pause in the carnage with a fleeting brotherhood. This film dramatizes one such section as the French, Scottish and German sides partake in the unique event, even though they are aware that their superiors will not tolerate its occurrence.

As a part of our Performance Series programming the RCAC is delighted to announce our new Indie Classic Film Series. From thought provoking classic films to stunning modern videography, the RCAC will bring you a selection of indie films that you will not want to miss! Join us for movie nights at the Miners’ Hall on one Thursday of each month: December 20, January 17, February 21, and March 21.
