A night of the best local storytelling and songwriting talent at White Buffalo

Don't miss this super fun night of true stories, original songs and tasty desserts from Hooper's Bakery. You may even know one of our performers!!!

Now in its fourth year, White Buffalo brings you The Best Songs and Stories in a fun-packed event. Joined by local singer-songwriting talent, White Buffalo storytellers come together for an evening of tunes and tales in the Muriel Griffiths Room on Friday, April 27 at 7:30 pm.

This season, White Buffalo Storytelling invited local storytellers to share their own real stories around the themes of Scary Stories and Stories of Immigration at events in Rossland and Trail. Inspired by the infamous The Moth storytelling group in New York, each storyteller has 10 minutes maximum to perform their short, true stories - delivered from the heart, to get across the humour and emotion of their tales.

The evening is hosted by Nadine Tremblay, who says, "White Buffalo reminds me of how fascinating, courageous, complex and fragile we all are. We have so much in common and yet every story is so unique." Sharing their funny, moving and incredible true tales are storytellers Alisha McLean, Dennis Senegal, Anita Bressanutti, Mike Davis, Shemmaho Goodenough, Phil Loosley and Paul Harvey. They will be joined by performances from singer-songwriters Peter Reed, Brad Mackay and Dave Scanlan, who will also take you through the origins and song writing process of their songs.

But, it’s not just the entertainment! You will be treated to a variety of delectable desserts from Hooper’s Bakery, all for the price of $20.

In the intimate space of the Muriel Griffiths room audience members will leave with a satisfied sweet tooth and a connection to other people, both on and off stage.
