Lester McLean Band plus Brad Lee Whiplash & the Werewolves of Thunder - The Night Market at Music in the Park

Get your dancing shoes on tjis Thursday July 18 from 5-9 pm for the acoustic soul, funk & pop mastery of Toronto’s Lester McLean Band at Music in the Park’s Night Market, sponsored by Teck Metals Ltd., at Gyro Park in Trail.

The Lester McLean Band will be turning up the heat with classic Soul, R&B, Funk and Pop from the 60's, 70's and 80's, as well as original works from Lester himself. The unique blend of songs shows off the stellar musicianship of the band, including Lester on lead vocals and Soprano Sax, vocalist, composer, and Juno award-winner Michael Occhipinti on nylon string guitar and background vocals, and multi-instrumentalist Louis Simão on upright acoustic bass and backing vocals. Keeping the beat going on drums is our very own Tony Ferraro from Trail.

Throughout his career, Lester has performed with a wide array of Canadian and International artists including Maestro, jacksoul, Ashley McIsaac, Vinx, Jarvis Church, Colin James, Divine Brown, and Jim Cuddy.

Lester will be joined on July 18 by opening act Brad Lee Whiplash & The Werewolves Of Thunder. Hailing from Rossland, the band will take you on a musical journey, in the improvisational tradition of the Grateful Dead. The Thunder cover material from the Blues greats, The Allman Brothers and Dylan, just to name a few, mixed in with originals, to deliver their own brand of rock and roll.
