Call for Submission to Life in the Kootenays Visual Art Exhibition

THE ROSSLAND COUNCIL FOR ARTS AND CULTURE (RCAC) presents Life in the Kootenays.The RCAC welcomes West Kootenay artists of all ages to participate in this juried visual art exhibition. Artists are invited to showcase their artistic style in their favourite subject matter related to their interpretation of life in the Kootenays. The exhibition takes place at the Miners Hall Oct 25th to 27th, 2019. Open to artists currently residing in the West Kootenay region. There will be a “People’s Choice” award of $150 for the piece that receives the most audience votes. The call for submission is for all original visual art works. All mediums are welcome: paintings, sculpture, fibre art, and more. Each artist may submit up to two works. All work accepted into the exhibition must be recent within two years and remain in exhibition throughout the entire showing. Artwork may be for sale, but it is not required. All sales will take place directly between the artist and the buyer. RCAC takes no commission from work sold in this exhibit and delivery of work to the buyer is the responsibility of the artist. Entry deadline Sept 30, 2019. No entry fees.
