“Loach has now done it again. His new film, "Sorry We Missed You," is another intimate and powerful drama about what's going on in people's everyday lives — not just in England, but all over the world.” - Owen Gleiberman,Variety

Ricky and his family have been fighting an uphill struggle against debt since the 2008 financial crash. An opportunity to wrestle back some independence appears with a shiny new van and the chance to run a franchise as a self-employed delivery driver. It's hard work, and his wife's job as a careworker is no easier. The family unit is strong but when both are pulled in different directions everything comes to breaking point, trapped in the vicious cycle of this modern-day form of labour exploitation.

“Though relentless at times, this is a crucial, empathetic rally cry of a film that holds a mirror up to the swelling crisis of the gig economy with admirable intention.” Beth Webb, Empire

“He may be in his 80s, but British filmmaker Ken Loach still has plenty to say about social ills; this time he focuses on gig-economy jobs and, once again, he doesn't pull any punches.”  - Danny Brogan, Common Sense Media
