Rossland Food Bank

The Rossland Food Bank would like to remind our clients and all other residents of Rossland that we are open and ready to help those in need during the current coronavirus pandemic. We understand that some of you may be hesitant or nervous to come to the Food Bank at the moment, but we want you to know that we are taking every possible precaution to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our customers and volunteers.

Some of the measures we are taking include:

-         - The only people inside the Food Bank building at the moment are a small number of healthy volunteers who are washing their hands on arrival and wearing gloves for the duration of their shifts. Face masks are also going to be distributed to volunteers to wear as of next week.

-          - Shoppers are being stopped from coming inside the building, bringing their own re-usable bags or touching anything other than the clipboard and pen to fill out their shopping lists.

-          - Clipboards and pens are sanitized between each client to reduce the risk of cross contamination.

-          - Other surfaces (door handles, tables, light switches) are being sanitized at the start and end of each Food Bank opening.

-         -  Lines have been painted on the ground outside the building so that clients can wait at an appropriate distance apart from each other.

We are doing everything we can to prioritize your health and safety during this time while still maintaining the ability to help those who need it. Please remember that we are here for you and do not want people missing out on a valuable service because of this pandemic.
