Green Drinks in Rossland

Green drinks is a networking event held once a month in Nelson to connect environmental professionals. This is to announce that Rossland will be hosting a special green drinks networking night on November 13th, 7-9pm at the Prestige Lounge.

The proposition is: Discover 'who in our neck of the woods' is doing climate change related work or is interested in learning more.

To kick off the discussion, Aaron Cosbey, Associate and Senior Advisor, Climate Change and Energy for the International Institute for Sustainable Development ( www.iisd.org ) will give a short briefing on the current status of global climate change negotiations, and what we might expect from the next Ministerial meeting (Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC) in Bali, December 3-14. He'll also talk about Canada's domestic and international efforts. Aaron is based in Rossland.

To encourage our networking, the Prestige Lounge (on the main street) will be providing us with reduced rates on drinks and snacks :-)
