BC Sustainable Energy Association

Castlegar Campus of Selkirk College, room L15- There is a BC Sustainable Energy Association (West Kootenays chapter) meeting this Wednesday; on the agenda is a slideshow of 100 Mile Housing, a spinoff of the 100 Mile Diet- the concept is simple- we should try to restrict our use of building materials to natural materials, reclaimed material, and waste stream material from within a 100 mile radius when building our homes.
Some of the folks I've been working with (documentary film) from The Sanctuary will be in attendance, and there will be tons of great info on green/natural/environmentally friendly building.
If you've ever wondered about cob, strawbale, earthships, rammed earth building, you won't want to miss this event.
