Welcome to the Rossland Tennis Society!

ROSSLAND TENNIS SOCIETY

History
The 3 beautiful tennis courts are city owned, but operated by a non-profit society. They are located in a quiet setting near the corner of Park St. and LeRoi Ave.  These 100 year old courts are scheduled to be resurfaced mid June 2008. (weather permitting)  A special thanks to the city, public support and thousands of volunteer hours that keep this facility operating for your enjoyment.

What we do
• Maintain 3 public courts including equipment, washroom and grounds.
• Plan for continued upgrading i.e.,  future resurfacing
• Work with the City of Rossland and other community sports groups to ensure funding.
• Coordinate youth programs in conjunction with Tennis Canada.

Membership Fees
A one-time levy fee of $25.00 is requested for all new adult (19 & over) members.  This money goes directly to court maintenance.  The annual membership dues are listed below.

Junior (18 & under)    $20.00             Couple     $60.00
Adult                 $40.00                    Family     $70.00
Memberships can be paid at the Powderhound, Rossland Recreation (City Hall) or at the courts.  All members are issued a shoe tag.  Drop in fee for non-members is $2.00.

Tournaments/Programs will be posted at the courts.

Rules
• Proper court shoes are required (i.e. soft sole, non-marking)
• Please do not lean or step over nets
• Pets are not allowed on or at the tennis courts.
• Courts are for tennis only (bikes, skateboards, rollerblades etc. not allowed)

SWEEPING courts as required is appreciated by all.
