A country music star named Jackson Maine (Bradley Cooper) manages to discover an unknown talent in a young singer named Ally (Lady Gaga) just as his career is about to fade out. 

A professional relationship isn't just what the two share, though, as they begin to become romatically intertwined. But Jackson must deal with the fact that this newfound talent he launched into superstardom is beginning to eclipse his own, a truth he finds hard to swallow.
