Seedy Saturday - Seed Swap & Sale

Rossland's annual Seed Swap & Sale! Saturday March 8th from 2- 4:30 pm - Main floor of the Miners Hall. Free Event! Bring some seeds to share or exchange. You can bring seeds you've collected or seeds you have purchased. No seeds? No worries! Many gardeners will have extra seed to give away for free. Free Event! Drop in anytime between 2-4:30 pm. Winnow Seeds will have veggie and flower seeds for sale. Kinseed will have native plant seed for sale. Did you know that the Rossland Library has gardening and preserving tools you can borrow? Come check out the Rossland Tool Library! The latest addition to the Rossland Tool Library is soil blockers! Come try the new soil blockers....they are a great alternative to starting seeds in plastic pots. Come learn about native bees from Val Huff. And get tips from our local experts about water wise gardening. Event organized by Rossland Real Food and the Food Task Force of the Rossland Sustainability Commission. Photos:

Interested in Native Plants? Kootenay based Kinseed will be at the swap to share info about growing native plants in your yard. They'll also have locally collected native plant seed for sale.
Wow! Seeds of Diversity has sent us some free seed! First come first serve.
