Free Promo opportunity: Covid Jingle videos

July 10 to 16 10:00 am to 4:55 pm

Be part of COVID Jingles, our series of free promotional music videos to help promote local businesses and organizations and provide income and training to support Kootenay artists. This fun, inventive program will take the messages of our local favourites in Greater Trail and turn them into jingle gold!

Trail & District Arts Council has joined forces with Quinn Contini and Gordie Lucius, of Edmonton based improv comedy group Rapid Fire Theatre, to provide workshops over the weekend of July 18 & 19 to hone the jingle skills of local talent. Quinn Contini has been doing improv since 2008, touring around cities in Canada and Germany and instructing in workshops for the University Improv Group. Gordie Lucius got his start with improv in high school and has since toured with the University of Alberta Improv Group and performed in Vancouver’s Nextact Festival ensemble. Their improv mantra for an energetic performance is have fun, don’t be afraid to fail, and get into trouble.

Over the weekend the finest local singer-songwriters and musical theatre aficionados will use their new skills to write, perform and record short musical video messages in a fast and furious 15 minutes! These jingles will then be released over the next few weeks to promote community organizations and businesses on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

So, do you have a new product? Are you open for business again? Maybe you just want to wish the community well or thank someone for their efforts during this time. Let us know and we will put it to music!

All you need to do is fill out a short form, giving us a few details about your business or organization and the message you want recorded, by following this link (Only takes 5 minutes).

Submissions must be made by Thursday, July 16.

So, help us brighten everyone’s day and get your message across with these fun musical interludes.

This is a FREE service and due to the tight timeline participants will only get two days to approve the finished jingle. By submitting a form, you are agreeing to the Trail & District Arts Council and its partners creating and distributing a promotional jingle and accompanying video to promote your business or organization. Submission does not guarantee a jingle message will be created, but we will get through as many as we can in one day.

This program is made possible by the Trail and District Arts Council, Columbia Basin Trust, the Government of Canada, the BC Touring Council, the Province of British Columbia, Kootenay Savings Credit Union, and Tourism Rossland.
