Jaws at the Silver Screen Drive-in

August 20 9:00 to 11:05 pm

The Silver Screen Drive-in brings you “Jaws”, the film that stopped everyone going in the ocean. When a killer shark unleashes chaos on a beach community, it's up to a local sheriff, a marine biologist, and an old seafarer to hunt the beast down.

It's a hot summer on Amity Island, a small community whose main business is its beaches. When the remains of a shark attack victim are found near town, new Sheriff Martin Brody knows he should close the beaches to swimmers but is stopped by the mayor. Brody backs down to his regret, and that weekend a young boy is killed by the predator.

The town is soon swamped with amateur shark hunters hoping to cash in on the reward after the boy's mother puts a bounty on the shark. But it’s a local fisherman, Quint, who has experience hunting sharks, who joins forces with Brody and Matt Hooper from the Oceanographic Institute to find the Great White. As Brody says after their first encounter with the creature, they're going to need a bigger boat.
