Francophone Association organizes a curling tournament

The AFKO (WEST KOOTENAY FRANCOPHONE ASSOCIATION) presents its first curling tournament in Rossland on November 25! On November 25 at 6 p.m., the AFKO is renting out the curling rink for an evening of tournament play between adults from all over the West Kootenays. No experience required! Course of the evening Doors open: 6 p.m. Be on time to confirm your team and receive instructions on how to curl. Tournament starts: 6:30 p.m. In teams of 4, take on your opponents on the ice! Equipment provided. Four teams will play at the same time. The rest of the participants are free to cheer or keep warm in the lounge area. End of tournament and start of DJ night: 8:30 p.m. Winners receive their prizes in the lounge. DJ Marie-Paule and Madeleine will take over the decks at the end of the prize-giving and a short speech.
