January 18 7:00 to 8:30 pm Imagine a two-week-long backcountry ski trip in the middle of winter traversing the Purcell Mountains. Imagine being only the second party to have ever attempted it, the first dating back to 1958. Now imagine doing that on traditional Norwegian light touring skis made of wood, carrying all your food, over a distance of approximately 135 km. In 1973. Town: Rossland, BC Venue: Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre Address: 1100 Hwy 3B; Junction of HWY 3B and HWY 22 »
