Music in the Park this Thursday in Trail at Gyro Park

Just a heads up that due to possible bad weather the market and food trucks will not happen this Thursday at Music in the Park because of the advance planning and prep that is needed. The beer and wine garden will still run from 5-9 pm with live music starting at 6:15 pm!

Judy Brown is a Canadian roots music singer, songwriter and guitarist, influenced by the likes of Bonnie Raitt, Van Morrison and Muddy Waters. She began in Alberta before moving to Toronto. In 2016 she moved to Nelson, reuniting with long time award winning musical friends, collaborators and producers Gary Kendall and Teddy Leonard.
“A voice capable of being both gritty and soulful.” – Errol Nazareth, CBC Radio.

Headlining tonight are "Petunia & the Vipers", a sound so unique it is undefinable. Imagine that David Lynch and Nick Cave had a hillbilly baby, that yodeled. Or that Tom Waits meets Elvis at Woody Guthrie’s Hobo junction. Hillbilly-flavoured-swing inflected-ragtime-goodtime-thunderously rolling-one-of-a-kind-you-don’t-want-to-miss-this-sort-of-a-show.
“…if Mr. Tarantino reads this, I highly suggest he give Petunia [and the Vipers] a listen because it’s a collection of songs so cinematic, so Americana and so instantly classic that it’s made just for him. And you too!” - Randi Beers, Exclaim Magazine

With entrance by donation, Kootenay Savings Music in the Park is the perfect opportunity to bring a lawn chair or a blanket, get outside and listen to live music with friends.

Everything will happen at Trail's Gyro Park, but if weather does not permit on the day we will move the music and bar to the Bailey Theatre in Trail. An announcement will be made before noon on the day of.
