Please!! Stop the fireworks at 7.00pm

Hello all,

There are many respectful ways to celebrate and support those who are putting their own health on the line for us all the time - specially now, during this pandemic.

Certainly, breaking a city bylaw - showing lawlessnes - is not one of them.

My family, including our dog, would really appreciate you being mindful - as I am sure many other families and people would. This represents a very small effort on your side, and would go a long ways in making sure we can all co-exist better during these trying times.

Thank you beforehand for choosing to be considerate. I'll think kindly of you when we are making noise this evening instead of having to calm our dog.

Jorge Rivas.

No bylaw broken before 10pm.

"Consumer fireworks may only be discharged on an individual's private property"

Who owns the Wetland/Summit School field? That is one of the main places they are being set off.

Hello all,

Just to clarify, the existing provincial fire ban includes fireworks:

The Government of British Columbia fire ban temporarily overrides the City of Rossland municipal bylaw, see section 3, paragraph (h) in the Fireworks Regulation bylaw #2651:

Cheers,

Jorge Rivas.

Boooo!  Who called the fun police?

Thoroughly agreed.

There is multiple other ways to show your support for the healthcare/essential workers without using fireworks. It's completely unnecessary and inconsiderate to the animals in our community.
