Worth more standing?

I was walking the dog on Stardust today and was dismayed to see a cutblock laid out on either side of the trail. Does anyone know if this is crown or private land? One would think that as a tourism based town the forests surrounding our trail network should be left standing for all to enjoy instead of clearcut for someone's short term profit.

It is private land held by a family that has allowed trails on their numerous properties for many years.

They have been gracious and co-operative with the KCTS and continue to allow new trails (Stardust).

While I understand that it is unfortunate ( I do trail building on Stardust), it it is their land to do with as they wish.

They are in communication with the KCTS.
